Main characteristics of gabion wall
Welded Gabion walls are structures built with wire mesh cages, known as baskets, which are filled with durable, often locally sourced rock or stone.
A key feature is their inherent flexibility and permeability; they can settle and shift without cracking under ground movement or water pressure, making them highly effective for erosion control and slope stabilization. Their porous nature allows water to drain freely, preventing hydrostatic pressure buildup.
Furthermore, they are environmentally friendly, as the voids between rocks can be filled with soil to support vegetation growth, promoting natural blending with the landscape. They are also cost-efficient due to simple construction and the use of on-site fill material.
ABOUT PACKIGING
Main packing methods:
The standard packaging method for welded gabion walls typically involves securing the units on a sturdy iron pallet base. A wooden lid is then placed and fastened on top to create a rigid and secure package for shipping and handling.
For units with a powder-coated finish, additional protective measures are taken. Specifically, the posts are carefully wrapped with bubble wrap prior to being placed on the pallet. This extra step ensures the cosmetic finish is safeguarded against scratches and abrasions during transit.
